Do You Love Your Business?
Have you ever questioned if you want to do what you do anymore? Does your business warm your heart?
Maybe you’ve just fallen out of love for a bit? We’ve all been there. You wouldn’t be human if you loved every single part of your business. But as it's the day of love, now is the perfect time to reflect on your business and make sure you're doing what you love. And if not, maybe it's time to think about what you need to do to really LOVE what you do?!
If you can clearly define what it is you do love, and the bits you don’t, then you can at least work towards the best outcome and maybe get someone else to do the stuff you don’t want to DO anymore. So you can fall back in love with your business.
My three top tips are as follows:
Remind yourself of your values and ensure your business is aligned with those.
Make a list of 10 things your business does that you do not love and commit to stop doing 2 of those things that aren’t serving you. Can you Delegate or Outsource anything?
Learn to love the outcome, you don’t have to love doing the actual work. For me I can’t say I always love doing a tax return but I certainly love helping my clients save tax and grow their business, so I recognise that I love helping people, what do you love?
Need help delegating?
It can be hard to delegate, especially if you like to have a hand in every area of your business or struggle to give away control, but delegation or outsourcing could be the answer to your broken heart.
When deciding whether to Delegate or Outsource, there are three areas to consider:
Yes, there are times we have to bite the bullet and we just have to get something done because we may not have the budget to outsource or even have somebody else ready to deal with things for us.
But if we plan ahead and at least two of these apply then it’s time that we DO delegate.
And lastly…stop saying yes to all those favours.
What’s the point of delegating everything if you then have to do everything for everyone else?
If you absolutely love your business and going to work is like never doing a day of work in your life then we'd love you to share your top three tips with us…
